VIP Services, Inc. Receives Certificate of Achievement

VIP Services, Inc. (formerly Vocational Industries, Inc.) has been honored with a 2005 Certificate of Achievement by NISH, an agency created by the federal government through the Javits-Wagner-O’Day (JWOD) Act to support the employment of people with disabilities.

According to NISH President and CEO E. Robert Chamberlin, awardees were selected for recognition based on length of time VIP Services has had a product or service on the Procurement List, consistency in fulfilling contracting requirements, timely submission of reports and commissions, adherence to JWOD regulations and overall evaluation of contract performance. “This recognition symbolizes a job well-done,” says Mr. Chamberlin. “Outstanding overall performance in the JWOD program proves that persons with severe disabilities can be productive, contributing members of society.”

VIP Services is one of over 600 community-based nonprofit agencies in the nation participating as a strategic partner with NISH in this program that brings employment to more than 45,000 people with disabilities. VIP Services is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization offering a continuum of vocational and community living options to help Walworth County individuals with disabilities obtain and maintain independence in the least restrictive lifestyle. Client choice is at the heart of VIP Services Programs, which include Day Services for clients with multiple disabilities and challenges, Center-Based Production and Employment Training for those who require a structured training or work environment and Community Employment for those who can work independently or with some support in the community workforce.
