Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering with VIP Services can be a rewarding experience for individuals, families, corporate groups, and community organizations. With our move to the new building in late 2007, we expect to be able to offer many new volunteer opportunities including:

• Center-Based Job Skill Training Assistance: Volunteers needed to help clients learn new jobs and increase their productivity
• Client Assistance: Volunteers needed to function on a one-on-one basis with clients in a variety of roles, including providing transportation and assisting clients with grocery shopping, medical visits, etc.
• New Recreational & Educational Programs: Volunteers needed to create, conduct and assist with scheduled classes open to current clients and clients in the community.
• General Administration Assistance: Volunteers needed to assist with a variety of tasks, including filing, mailings, etc.
• Special Group Projects: e.g. maintenance, painting, landscaping and a variety of other projects. Special projects can be customized to meet a group's specific needs and availabilities.
• Social Activities: Volunteers needed to assist with chaperoning holiday dances, attending recreational activities (e.g. camp, dances, Special Olympics, etc.), serving as a friendly visitor and/or mentor.
