Bridging the Gaps Sponsorship

The 2011 "Bridging the Gaps Push-Walk-Ride" fundraising event is being held in conjunction with the 2011 Lifelong Empowerment Open Golf Outing at Geneva National on Sunday, June 26, 2011. VIP Services clients, family members and friends will be participating in a variety of ways, including pledging support to individual VIP Services client standard-bearers who will be walking and pushing wheelchairs on the one-mile route.

4:00 p.m. Push/Walk/Ride & Ice Cream Social

For those of you who may not be familiar with nationally known motivational speaker Butch Lumpkin, you will be in for a treat! Butch is one of the surviving Thalidomide Babies of the 1950's and 60's who was born with no functional arms at all. Blessed with a natural athleticism, Butch has spent a lifetime defying the word "impossible" and, in addition to becoming a full-time tennis pro, has developed into a scratch golfer. Butch's presentation will be followed by the Push/Walk/Ride and an old fashioned Ice Cream Social. Participation is open to anyone who is interested.
